I'm just about to order my 2nd Bamboo case. In total, I've had 3 hardwood cases. Here's the deal: My first bamboo case literally shattered upon impact on a marble floor. My iPhone was in perfect condition. Can I complain that the case didn't survive? Nope. It saved my phone, which is more than I can say for other cases and phones I've had in the past where the energy from the impact is conducted through the case to the phone. I don't want a case that become part of my phone - that's the wrong direction. Having said all that, I love the look and irony of a wooden case. But that's just me.

This case snapped on me when i was putting it on my phone for the first time. Just looking at the case it is clear it is not a sturdy product and clearly will break at some time probably at no fault of your own. A case is supposed to protect a phone and this will not do the job,

I purchased this bamboo case for my iPhone 4 about a month ago. I must say that I am addicted to having a large collection of cases for my phone, because I seem to get bored with the same look for long. Out of all the cases I own, this one gets the most attention! I've had friends, family, co-workers, and even complete strangers approach me and say, "Wow, is that wood????" So, this case definitely raises your cool points. However, it doesn't protect your phone the way some other cases do, and also charging does require you to remove the bottom half so that charger fits. The feel of the bamboo is nice, and isn't too slippery. All in all, it's a nice case, and makes me look even cooler than I already am (-:
